Meet Our Team

Rotary Bangalore Shantiniketan was chartered on the 29th June 2018 with an enthusiastic group of 21 members who eagerly wants to contribute towards making the world a better world. We are from diverse professional backgrounds, with an intent to give back to Society. We pour our passion, integrity and capabilities into completing projects that have a lasting impact, and we persevere until we deliver real, lasting solutions.

Mithun Amin

President
Occupation: Export Advisory / Hospitality
Mithun is an Engineer at heart. He led teams in Software Engineering in India and Sweden for over 15 years. Apart from his tech wizardry, he is also an entrepreneur with interests in Real Estate, E-Publishing and Restaurants in multiple cities. His latest foray is into Export advisory services. Apart from Social service, his other interests are in Photography, hobby electronics, home automation, Cars, skiing and fitness. He is very keen on giving back to the society and believes that universal education is the best way to ensure sustainable progress.

Atul Khanna

Club Secretary
Occupation: Program Management
Atul Khanna was born in Bhopal, and studied in MACT. After working for 3 years in ABB, he completed his MBA from SPJIMR in 2002 in IT. Currently he works with Standard chartered bank in IT project management. He is happily married and has a son and a daughter. His wife is a teacher by profession. He likes to read books, go for a swim and play Table Tennis.

Anish Arora

Occupation: Stock Market Investor
Anish is a stock market enthusiast and after 15 years of corporate work experience as a finance professional, now a full time investor and trader since last 6 years. His hobbies include reading & listening to music. His wife is also a finance professional & works as VP finance for State Street Corporation, an American Bank. Retail therapy works best for her. They both are from Prayagraj (UP).

Aditi Khanna

Occupation: Homemaker
Aditi is the mother of two wonderful kids and a proud wife. She was born and brought up in the pink city Jaipur, and did her Masters in English literature.

Since childhood she loved dancing and was trained in various dance forms. She is also passionate about teaching and always wanted to be a teacher since a very young age and was blessed to fulfill that too.

She also love cooking, reading books and indulging in good informative discussions.

Amritha Amin

Public Image Chair
Occupation: Homemaker
Orignially from Mangalore, Amritha grew up in Mumbai and is an MBA in Finance.

She is passionate about Baking and did a diploma course in baking also.

Her passions are reading, dancing and Fitness

Amit Mangla

Cyclothon Chair
Occupation: Semiconductor Design Software
Born in Gurgaon, he is an Elec. & Comm. Engineer by education & Sales Manager by profession. He has been in the semiconductor/electronic design automation industry for 20+ years and currently works with Synopsys as Sales Manager. His wife wife Monika is a home maker and the couple is blessed with a son & a daughter.

Sunil Jain

Occupation: Quality Assurance
Sunil Jain has over 30 years of working experience in Accounting, Finance & Information Technology. Sunil has done his masters in Accounting & Finance from Devi Ahiliya University (Indore) and is a Fellow Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Sunil has worked & lived in US for almost a decade. Sunil has vast experience of managing global, high impact projects all over the world. (North American, Europe, Asia & Australia). An avid Traveler & Twitterati, Sunil’s passion is driving, cooking, reading, contemporary politics, Movies and Music.

Anitha Kamireddy

Occupation: Property Management
Anitha is from Aragonda in Chittoor district. She did her studies in Aragonda, Tirupathi, Chennai and Hyderabad. Her daughter – Nischita is a doctor in the US, and Son – Anwesh is doing his Ph.D in Biotechnology in the US. Anitha has been very active in community service and has been a core member in quite a few committees like Voter Id awareness, Green team and has held key positions like secretary of PSAOWA. She is into real estate management. Aanitha is passionate about environment protection, loves travelling and exploring new places.

Bindu Jain

RBS Trust Treasurer
Occupation: IT Professional
Originally from Haryana, Bindu has lived and worked across India and the US. She holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MCA from Allahabad University. With over three decades in the software industry, She has worked with startups, established tech firms, and also global giants like TCS and Capgemini. She and her husband Sunil are blessed with 2 daughters.
Bimal Gupta

Bimal's company, Ambe Group is one of the largest wheat flour milling companies in India.

Bimal is a Paul Harris Fellow and is actively involved in many social organizations.

Some of his past positions are Past President of Rotary Patliputra Patna, Ex- Chairman of Indian Cancer Society, Bihar Chapter. Secretary General Bihar Industries Association. Honorary Treasurer Patna Golf Club, Vice President Rotary Bangalore Peenya.

His hobbies are Golf, car rallies , playing cards, enjoying evening with friends and above all singing.

Deepak Gangal

Occupation: Metallurgical Engineer
Deepak is a metallurgical engineer from IIT Kanpur with 30+ yrs of experience in materials engineering, corrosion control of equipment and pipelines used in hydrocarbon industries.

Deepak is a family man blessed with a loving wife Dr. Anita, and two talented children, Sagar, and Priyanka, who are pursuing higher education abroad. As a Family Man he aspires to emulate the wits of Manoj Bajpai minus the excitement of chasing enemies with guns and ammunition.

Gaurav Mathur

Gaurav Mathur is a Technologist with 15 plus years experience in IT Industry. He is a an Engineer and passionate for helping Enterprises in Technology. Transformation and Cloud Adoption. He has been associated with companies like HP, Oracle, TCS and Wipro and served Enterprise Customers across the Globe. Gaurav has keen interest in education for underprivileged and upskilling of youth. He has been at the forefront of Social Initiatives in his College and Corporate life.

Gopi Gupta

Occupation: Mining
Gopi is originally from Abohar, Punjab and grew up in Patna. He did his graduation in Commerce and joined the family flour milling business. His ambition drove him to establish businesses in multiple domains like agro, steel works and mining. He currently runs a stone crushing unit in Bangalore. He’s happily married for 42 years, and has 2 boys aged 38 and 40. He is passionate about astrology and is fun to be around with lots of light hearted conversations.

His mantra for a better world is “Live and let live; Forgive and forget”

Mahesh Krishnan

Medical Projects Chair
Occupation: Supply Chain Management
25+ years of international experience in Global Supply Chain and Project Management, having held leadership positions based in US, Kazakhstan and India, with CHEVRON, GE and 3M. Experience spans markets across the US, Europe, Asia and Africa in major sectors such as Oil & Gas, Specialty Chemicals, Capital Project Materials, Equipment and Services.

Consultant and Trainer for the Government of California’s Manufacturing Technology Center. He was also an Adjunct faculty at the University of Houston, School of Business Management, where he taught courses in Supply Chain management, Contracting & Negotiations.

Maneesh Gupta

Occupation: Vice President at First America
Maneesh Gupta, currently working as Vice President for India Business in First American, world’s leading Title Insurance company. His professional life and expertise is in and around the Real Estate Industry. Educational qualifications being BE and MBA. He speaks Hindi, English, Odiya and Bengali fluently. He lives in PSN along with his wife and daughter. His wife ( Shweta Sharma) is a home maker by choice and has worked in GE and Citibank in the past and daughter is studying in Standard IX

Rajeev Jain

Occupation: Finance
Rajeev is a fun loving personality with interests ranging from marathon running to spirituality to calligraphy to movies and music to chess. Hence he is a jack of all and master of none. He has a beautiful little family with Wife – Poorvi Jain and a 10yr old son Vyom Jain. He is working for E&Y as a partner and leads the Chess Events organized by our club

Rajeev Kumar Nayar

Occupation: Green Energy
Rajiv is a Post Graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He had business interests in Hotels, Cement and Renewable Energy and is Member of Himachal Hydro power producers association. He has been a Rotarian for 30 years, and served as the President of Rotary Pathankot Central, and led various social initiatives.

Rtn Rajiv is fond of outdoor activities, travelling and Sufi music , hitchhiking are his other hobbies.

Rtn. Rajiv wants to make the world a better place to live in by removing disparity and by saving our environment.

Sanjay Agarwal

Occupation: Infra. & Services
Sanjay is the charter president of our club, and was instrumental in setting up a strong foundation.

He has over 30 years of rich industry experience across diverse industries such as IT Software, Telecom, New Product Development & Manufacturing at companies such as IBM, Ericsson, Sasken, HCL Hewlett Packard (now HCL Technologies) & East India (Oberoi) Hotels. His career has experience in multiple domains of the business, including IT Management (Infra. & Services), Business Operations & Compliance, Supply chain and Program Management.

He is also a Yoga enthusiast.

Smita Ashok

Past President
Occupation: Marketing
Smitha Ashok who manages IT Operations for her bread & butter, is a passionate singer & social worker. She is one of the charter members of the club and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore.

Sandeep Rastogi

Occupation: Real Estate Agent
Sandeep Rastogi has been a rotarian for decades and is the go to person for real estate expertise in this part of the town.

Dr. Srilakshmi Poornima

Medical Projects Chair
Occupation: Doctor
Dr. Poornima is practicing Family Physician and Geriatrician. Providing Medical services for past 35 years. Her hobbies includes Music , coin collection. She is the daughter of Late Dr. M G Seshadri , who still has the distinction of being most academically qualified Mayor, the city of Bengaluru ever had. She has done many health camps for underprivileged. She served as medical doctor in Government schools from 1995 to 2003.

Vikas Kumar Sahoo

The Rotary Foundation Chair
Occupation: IT Practice Management
Vikas Sahoo is an IT Professional originally from Jabalpur, with more than 25 years’ experience. He has done his MBA from the University of Strathclyde, UK and has worked in multiple MNC’s across the globe, including 15 years in Singapore. He started social service at a young age as a Rotractor, and continues contributing today as a Rotarian. He is also quite passionate about cooking, and can whip up a delicious meal in a jiffy.
